Crisis Simulations are another kind of debate and exchange of ideas than MUNs. The several committees, representing the conflicting parties are significantly smaller than in MUN, but all the more active and at times very heated. Conflict is the keyword here and the respect to realness is secondary. Instead of resolutions, there are up-to-the-minute action orders to make and press releases published.
KICSIM 2018 will address one of the most tricky and famous conflicts of our time – but from a future perspective.
Image the year 2023, the North Korea vs the United States conflict has grown more acute over time and the world is changing.
The delegates will be able to stir the world through one of its most critical and intense persistent conflicts by interacting in four different committees:
-The Committee of the United States and Allies
-The Committee of the European Union
-The Committee of Asia
-The Security Council
Sudden crises, the actions and reactions of North Korea and the delegate’s ability to form and discard alliances will determine the course of events.
KICSIM 2018 will be a new approach to a long-lasting conflict. It will be something you have never experienced before.
